Item #: 837 NEW to Site, Cavalry Gauntlets made in 1850 to maybe 1860. This is a very nice pair of Gauntlets & they have been used a good deal. I got them with some other nice US gear in N.H. this past Fall. They have some cotton lining the inside & they are made for Winter time use. I have had three pair of Southern ones, but only two that came from up North. The last pair were not lined the way this pair is. This is a good pair that are still holding up well, with just some places coming open. But only one or two spots on each & then not more than a stich or two. From 1 to 10 they are a 8 or better. This pair look about like the ones in Echoes of Glory on page 204 in the US book & page 172 in the CS one. This is something you don’t see that much & at a good price.
