Day’s Jewelers president elected to jewelry association board

WATERVILLE — Day’s Jewelers President Joe Corey was among four new members elected to the Jewelers of America Board of Directors the week of July 24. Corey was hired as President of Day’s in 2021 and has been involved in executing major changes at the company. He was involved in converting the business to 100% employee ownership in November 2021. He recently spearheaded the decision to close stores on Sundays to promote a healthy work-life balance for employees. Corey also continues to serve on the Jewelers for Children board of directors and the JCK Las Vegas advisory board, according to a Waterville company press release.

Jewelers of America is a non-profit jewelry association founded in 1906 to help encourage and advance professionalism and ethics in the jewelry industry.
