This fall, the Heidi Lowe Gallery will be offering some inspiring jewelry making classes for adults and a class for kids ages 11-13.

All of these in-person classes cover the important basics of metalworking and jewelry making in a fun and creative studio environment.

“Join us in the studio for jewelry making and friends this fall! Put down those screens and get your hands on making your own jewelry in our classroom,” Lowe said.

In a powder coating course, participants learn the process of adding a colored finish to their metal parts. Students will learn how to create a layered landscape pendant of their own design with a vibrant, custom powder coated finish. The Powder Coating Class – Layered Landscape Pendant meets for four sessions, 6-8:30 p.m., Wednesdays August 31-September 21. The cost is $375 per person.

The Introductory Jewelry Course is a deeper dive into the basic techniques and tools of jewelry making. The first class project will be to make a silver chain bracelet with a toggle clasp. Students will then learn how to make their own charms, one of which will include a stone setting. Introduction to Jewelry Making – The Charm Bracelet Class meets for eight sessions, 6-8:30 p.m., Thursdays September 15-November 3. The cost is $750.

The Heidi Lowe Gallery hasn’t forgotten about young creatives and will be offering an eight-week metals course for kids, 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesdays, September 13-November 1. In this fun class, participants will make their own unique group of pendants to reflect who they are and what interests them. They learn a variety of skills, including welding with a torch, to create their own designs that will be put on a necklace when finished. The cost is $375. To register, students must be between the ages of 11 and 13.

The Heidi Lowe Gallery is open for shopping by appointment, curbside pickup, and for private and group classes at 17522 Ward Ave., Lewes.
